Scholarship Programme in Bhaleshwor Higher Secondary School, Panauti

Education is one of the most important pre-requisite of a developing country. It is one of the important things needed to survive in the competitive world we know today.

Many of you readers may take education as a pain or just for granted but  there are many people (especially children)in our own country Nepal who have to work everyday just to study at school.

Thus taking the initiative of helping such children, our members talked to the principal of Bhaleshwor Higher Secondary School, Mr. Om Prasad Thapaliya, he gave us the names of the 4 most backward students in the school. Their names are as follows:

  1. Ashish Chaulagain
  2. Nabin Humagain
  3. Sonisha Rai
  4. Samisha Lama

These children had a hard time eating even 2 square meals. They and their families led extremely inscrutable lives. Even at their tender ages of 4 or 5 they had to work in the fields doing all sorts of things like carrying loads, working in the fields, etc just so that they can buy a single notebook for them to use at school.

When we told their families that we will be sponsoring their children and could now study freely without any disturbance, they felt very happy that their children could finally study in peace.

We at Himalayan Home feel very happy when we see that smiles of children who are innocent as Heaven itself. We also thank the school for their active cooperation and most importantly we thank God for granting us the privilege of helping their innocent and lovable children.
